Outpatient Clinic

The Ambulatory Care (Outpatient) Clinic at Westchester Medical Center offers a variety of medical services to adults and children including comprehensive primary care and a variety of specialty areas. Our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals provides an individualized treatment plan for every patient. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, Self-pay and many Managed Care Plans.

Ambulatory Care Services utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care. We combine the unique skills of doctors, nurses, nutritionists, social workers, patient access personnel and care coordinators to provide you with the best possible treatment. Our staff members are also diverse and culturally sensitive--many with the ability to speak a number of foreign languages including Spanish. We can also arrange interpreting services for other foreign languages.  We also provide interpreting services for the deaf and hard of hearing who communicate through sign language.

Children’s Clinics
The Outpatient Children’s Center provides comprehensive, high-quality health care from birth to age 18. Clinic staff includes board-certified pediatricians, nurses with pediatric education and experience, and subspecialists who are available for consultation.

Adolescent
The Adolescent Medicine Clinic in the Children’s Center focuses on the unique physical, psychological and social characteristics of adolescents and their associated health problems and needs. This clinic services 13 - 18 year-olds for primary care.  Clinic is open Monday and Thursday mornings.

Pediatric Cardiology
The Pediatric Cardiology Clinic in the Children’s Center provides full-spectrum cardiac care from the diagnosis and management of heartbeat irregularities to complex heart defects.  The clinic is open on the first, second and third Thursday afternoon of every month.

Pediatric Nutrition
Registered dietitians provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to pediatric patients with a variety of medical issues ranging from weight loss to feeding issues and inadequate weight gain.

Pediatric Orthopedics
The Pediatric Orthopedic Clinic in the Children’s Center diagnoses and treats neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders in children including birth defects, postural deformities, genetic anomalies, spinal problems, bone or joint trauma, pain and gait disturbances. The clinic opens the second and fourth Thursday afternoon of the month.  

Pediatric Spine
WMC's Spine Clinic is a model of excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders. For adults as well as children, the Spine Clinic is the referral center for patients experiencing spine trauma, deformities or pain. The clinic opens the second and fourth Monday afternoon of the month.

Pediatric Pulmonary
The Pediatric Pulmonology Clinic in the Children’s Center offers infants, children and adolescents diagnosis and ongoing management of a variety of lung disorders including asthma, allergies, pneumonia, chronic lung disease related to prematurity and sleep apnea. The clinic opens on Wednesday afternoon.

Pediatric Urology
The Pediatric Urology Clinic in the Children’s Center diagnoses and treats pediatric patients with a range of urological problems. The clinic opens on the first and third Friday of the month.


 Adult Clinics

The Outpatient Adult Clinics provide comprehensive, high-quality health care for individuals 18 and above with services ranging from primary care to sub-specialties.

Breast
The Breast Clinic offers adults, age 18 years and older, evaluation of abnormal mammograms, ultrasound-guided imaging, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), biopsies and second-opinion assessments of new or suspicious findings, breast cancer screening, surgery, radiation therapy, genetic counseling, as well as referral to access other therapies for patients with breast cancer. The clinic opens every Tuesday afternoon.

Cardiology
The Cardiology Clinic provides cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic care to adults aged 18 years and older. The Clinic opens every Monday morning.

Diabetic OB
The Diabetic OB Clinic offers care to all women whose pregnancy is complicated by diabetes. The clinic opens every Monday morning.

Dysplasia
The Dysplasia Clinic provides a full range of screening and treatment options for patients with HPV and pre-cancerous conditions often detected by an abnormal pap test.  The clinic opens on Wednesday morning.

Endocrinology
The Endocrine Clinic evaluates and treats diabetes, thyroid disease, thyroid malignancies, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, calcium disorders, obesity, and lipid disorders. The clinic opens every Wednesday afternoon.

Endo Thyroid
The Thyroid Clinic evaluates thyroid nodules.  The evaluation includes a focused clinical assessment which includes an ultrasound and a fine needle aspiration. The clinic meets every second and fourth Thursday afternoon of each month.  

High Risk Obstetrics (OB)
The High Risk OB Clinic provides care to pregnant women with maternal and/or fetal complications. The clinic opens every Monday afternoon and Friday all day.

Gastro-Intestinal (GI)
The GI Clinic offers diagnostic evaluation and treatment for diseases of the stomach, intestines, esophagus, and liver, utilizing a variety of treatments and services. The clinic opens every Thursday afternoon.

Gynecology (GYN)
The Gynecology Clinic provides primary and gynecologic care for women of the reproductive to postmenopausal age group.   The clinic opens every Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Hematology
The Hematology Clinic offers comprehensive care for all hematology conditions including anemia, bleeding disorders, anticoagulation disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, plasma cell disorders, platelet disorders, hemachromatosis, and hematological disorders of pregnancy.  The clinic opens every second and fourth Thursday morning of each month.

Joint Clinic
The Joint Clinic provides evaluation and treatment of conditions affecting the bones, joints, spine and skeletal system. The clinic opens on the first Thursday morning of the month.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
This clinic specializes in the evaluation and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and opens on the third Monday afternoon of each month.  

Neurology
The Neurology Clinic provides evaluation and treatment of stroke, neuro-trauma, Parkinson’s Disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, neuromuscular disorders, peripheral nerve injury, memory disorder, gait and balance disorder.  The clinic opens every Monday afternoon. 

Neuromuscular
This Neuromuscular Clinic specializes in neuromuscular disorders and opens on the third Monday afternoon of each month.

Neurosurgery
The Neurosurgery Clinic provides neuro-oncology (cancer) evaluation and treatment; cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, spine surgery, skull base surgery, functional and stereotactic neurosurgery and radio surgery, epilepsy surgery, peripheral nerve and trigeminal neuralgia surgery--as well as treatment and evaluation of traumatic brain Injuries.   The clinic opens on the second and fourth Friday afternoon of each month.

Nutrition

Ophthalmology
The Department of Ophthalmology offers outpatient clinics for cornea, oculo-plastics, neuro-ophthalmology, uveitis, pediatric opthalmology, glaucoma, and general ophthalmology. The clinic opens a variety of days and times.

Adult Orthopedics
The Orthopedic Clinic provides general and sub-specialty orthopedic care for chronic traumatic conditions, inflammatory and degenerative arthritic conditions, joint replacement needs, spinal conditions, hand injuries and pathology, foot and ankle injuries and pathology, and sports related injuries. The clinic opens Thursdays and Friday mornings.

Orthopedic Trauma
This Orthopedic Trauma Clinic specializes in traumatic orthopedic injuries and opens on the third Thursday morning of each month.

Perinatal Genetics
The Perinatal Genetics clinic provides specialized testing, diagnosis, counseling and education for women who wish to learn more about medical conditions with known or questionable genetic components that can affect a pregnancy.  The clinic opens on Friday mornings.

Orthopedic Hand
The Orthopedic Hand Clinic offers care to all patients requiring evaluation, treatment and surgery for all aspects of the hand. The clinic opens on the fourth Wednesday afternoon of each month.

Plastic Surgery
The Plastic Surgery Clinic offers comprehensive care specializing in micro-vascular reconstruction, breast reconstruction, wound evaluations and treatment, as well as repair and rehabilitation of traumatic injuries. The clinic opens every Tuesday afternoon. 

Post-Partum
The Postpartum Clinic provides care to all women during the postpartum period which begins immediately after childbirth and ends six weeks later. The clinic opens every Wednesday morning.

Pulmonary
The Pulmonary Clinic provides evaluation, diagnosis and management of pulmonary illness and sleep apnea.  The clinic opens every Wednesday afternoon.

Renal (Kidney)
The Renal Clinic offers comprehensive care and consultation for both acute and chronic renal (kidney) disease. The clinic opens every Thursday morning.

Rheumatology
The Rheumatology Clinic offers evaluation and treatment for various painful disorders affecting the joints, muscles or connective tissue, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, gout, osteoarthritis, and vasculitis.  The clinic opens Wednesday mornings.

Surgery
The Surgery Clinic provides comprehensive evaluation and surgical treatment of patients affected by an array of symptoms employing the latest evidence-based procedures and most advanced technology.  Our Surgery Clinic performs surgical procedures affecting the GI tract, liver, pancreas, colon, breast, endocrine and cardiovascular systems.  The clinic opens every Tuesday afternoon. 

Urology
The Urology Clinic provides evaulation and treatment to adults with a range of urological disorders. The clinic opens every Thursday afternoon.
