This symposium will provide the most current information about the management of common childhood hematologic and oncologic problems that may affect their young patients. Transition of care from hematology and oncology specialists to pediatric providers needs to be well-coordinated and streamlined. It is essential for providers to use the Care Compact model that focuses on the patient’s goals for health to collaborate and address the unique needs of pediatric hematology and oncology patients and their families. Attendance at the symposium will offer participants an opportunity to update their knowledge regarding the management of their pediatric patients with common hematologic and oncologic diagnoses, as well as the care of childhood cancer survivors.
