Endocrinology and Metabolism

Overview

The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism offers evaluation and treatment of a wide variety of metabolic and endocrine disorders including diabetes, osteoporosis, disorders of calcium metabolism, and disorders of the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, ovaries, and testes.

An active inpatient service, as well as an outpatient facility, provides consultative support and ongoing care for these patients.

The Department of Endocrinology and Meabolism at Westchester Medical Center specializes in the evaluation and management of the following:

  • Type 1 and type 2 diabetes
  • Obesity and metabolic syndrome
  • Hyperlipidemias
  • Pituitary disorders
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Adrenal disorders
  • Ovarian and testicular disorders
  • Osteoporosis
  • Disorders of calcium metabolism
